If you're considering hiring a wedding magician to entertain you guests, this page is for you. The chances are you haven't hired a magician before and you don't really know what to ask about. But you have questions. Below are all the questions we get asked all the time by couples planning their weddings.
Wedding magicians perform walk-around magic to your wedding guests. Close-up walk around magic utilises playing cards, coins and other every day objects to bring about impossible feats. You've probably seen the type of stuff I'm talking about on television. It's a highly interactive form of live entertainment where your guests get to do more than just watch. They get to be involved! (if they want to be).
There are two time periods when a wedding magician could perform. They could perform in the evening at the wedding reception. But there is often live music then, or at least a DJ. The other time period - and this is when live magic generally adds the most value to your day - is during your drinks reception.
At your drinks reception your guests are standing around talking amongst themselves, simply waiting for you and your spouse to finish having your photos taken so that the wedding breakfast can be served.
This is when most couples employ a wedding magician and this is when guests get the most out of it because there isn't a whole lot else to do.
Drinks receptions typically last around two hours and two hours is generally long enough to for the magician to get around all of your guests so that they all get to watch and experience magic.
There is really no answer to this question. How much does a car cost? Depends on the car, right? The same applies to magicians, and anything else for that matter.
A cheap magician will cost you a couple of hundred pounds for two hours. That's the low end of the scale. But, trust us, you don't want a cheap magician. A cheap wedding magician may possibly be worse than none.
A cheap wedding magicican who charges only £200-300 for a couple of hours is not a full time professional. They can't be.
A more experienced wedding magician will cost you more - £800 - £1000 for two hours.
Celebrity magicians will charge any thing from £3000 for a couple of hours, to £40,000 for 45 minutes. But at that level it depends very much on who the magician is.
As standard, Adam Vee offers his services throughout Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and London. In these locations, there will be no additional charge for travel. However, if you really want Adam at your event and it's happening somewhere else, travel expenses will have to be agreed upon on a case by case basis.

It is our company policy to take 100% of all fees payable up front. This helps us reduce admin for ourselves, and actually, most couples we speak to are happy to get the payment out of the way because then it's one less thing to think about. We know weddings have a lot of moving parts.
We prefer simple bank transfers in most cases.
